Dr. Blackwood completed a Foot and Ankle Fellowship in Grand Rapids, MI under the distinguished Drs. John Anderson and Donald Bohay, and John Maskill.  Dr. Blackwood was fortunate enough to train under internationally recognized physicians, who are on the forefront of research and education for orthopaedic foot and ankle care.

Dr. Blackwood’s passion for orthopaedics started at a young age. The Academic All-American baseball player and 2018 Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame inductee, was drafted in the 26th round by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2005.  He elected to return to Georgia Tech for his senior year in which he helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the College World Series, and is the only athlete to ever be named Mr. Georgia Tech.

From maintenance care to reconstructive surgery, Dr. Blackwood’s goal is to be the first and the last stop for your foot and ankle care.
